~~Kiss From a Distance~~ | | |
Beauty, in life and times
Lovin', in heart in mind
Kiss from a distance
Memories, so like a child
Hold me, all through the night
Kiss from a distance
Pressed to your lips, just once
Tears only pass by
Missing you more than life | Background music

~~Kodachrome~~ | | |
It's a wonder I can think at all
Though my lack of education hasn't hurt me none
I can read the writing on the wall
Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world's a sunny day
Oh yeah
I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So Mama, don't take my Kodachrome away | Background music

~~Magic Carpet Ride~~ | | |
I like to dream
Yeah, right between my sound machine
On a cloud of sound I drift in the night
Any place it goes is right
Goes far, flies near
To the stars away from here
Well, you don't know what we can find
Why don't you come with me, little girl
On a magic carpet ride
You don't know what we can see
Why don't you tell your dreams to me
Fantasy will set you free
Close your eyes, girl
Look inside, girl
Let the sound take you away | Johnny B performing

~~Back In The U.S.A.~~ | | |
Oh well, oh well, I feel so good today
We just touched ground on an international runway
Jet-propelled back home from overseas to the U.S.A.
New york, Los Angeles, oh, how I yearned for you
Detroit, Chicago, Chattanooga, Baton Rouge
Let alone just to be at my home back in ol' St. Lou
Oh well, oh well, I'm livin' in the U.S.A.
Yeah. I'm so glad I'm livin' in the U.S.A.
Anything you want, we got it right here in the U.S.A.
Oh well, oh well, I feel so good today
We just touched ground on an international runway
Jet-propelled back home from overseas to the U.S.A.
Mmm-uh-huh, mmm-uh-huh
Mmm-uh-huh, mmm-uh-huh
Oh well, oh well, I'm livin' in the U.S.A.
Oh well, oh well, oh well
I'm mad about livin' in the U.S.A. | Johnny B performing

~~15 Storey Halo~~ | | |
Ah-bayt, ah-bayt, ah-bayt
Bottle blondes and beach boys
They might marvel at the size
You got, honey, something that big
You know the best don’t advertise
Has no-one ever told you
You got a body built to last
But with that 15 storey deadstop
You're going nowhere, and fast
(10-20-30-40!) 15 storey halo
(10-20-30-40!) 15 storeys high
(10-20-30-40!) 15 storey halo
(10-20-30-40!) 7 miles wide
7 miles wide | El's dancing puppet routine

Hi,
ReplyDeletedoes anyone knows who is the singer of the song "Memories" or has more information how to get the full song?
Hi, the only info I have is from Arthur Barrow, who worked on the music: "AB: Yes - I may have co-written, but I'm not sure. We recorded that - don't know the singer - maybe same girl as theme song?" So it could be Karen Lawrence, made specifically for the show, and that would explain why we can't find info about it anywhere.

Deletethanks for the answers, it explains why i couldn't find the song with Shazam and SoundHound ;-)
ReplyDeletewell, I miss a soundtrack-collection of the series and a making-off or behind the scenes :-) And for sure that James D. Parriott still has all songs.
I made a fanmade soundtrack (as though it was a record from the 80's):

I can email you the link to the mp3 files if you'd like.
And - oh! - wouldn't a Behind the Scenes episode be awesome! At least though we get to read from current interviews what Parriott has to say about the show in the 'Oral History' on Amazon.com :)
